Classes or 1:1 - you choose
Our Core Control Pilates is ideal for beginners or as part of a recovery program. We use tailored Clinical Pilates techniques to deliver a safe, effective and enjoyable way of strengthening your spinal stabilizing muscles, improving your posture and optimizing your functional control. ‘Core Control’ or ‘Core Stability’ promotes muscle strength and wellbeing, your muscles will tone and develop using this pilates-based regime. The more you engage these muscles the stronger you become. According to Joseph Pilates, the creator of this wonderful exercise "Pilates is complete coordination of mind, body, and spirit".
The classes provide a basic level of exercise and are the ideal platform to start your Pilates journey. Each series runs for between 4 and 6 weeks to gain the most from your muscles. The classes benefit people with a variety of different injuries and conditions. The ultimate goal is for each participant to obtain independent Core Control, with an understanding of their body, fluid movement, and how to control weak areas. This then enables safe independent exercise at home and progression to advanced levels of physical activity, whilst engaging the correct muscles.
We now offer both in Gym and Virtual classes. Virtual classes are held remotely using Zoom on Thursdays at 10:00 with a maximum of 15 participants per class series. In Gym classes are held on Fridays with up to two class series available. The classes are small to enable social distancing with just 6 participants per class.
All participants who are new to Pilates are required to undergo an initial assessment prior to attending the class in order to determine suitability. If you would like to register for the next class series, please email admin@traceymilesphysio.com
We also offer 60-minute 1:1 sessions on any day of the working week, ideal for those new to Pilates as well as advanced patients who want to perfect their technique. Please contact us if this is of interest.
